Position Summary:


The Executive Director is responsible for the supervision and management of the treatment program they work directly out of as Program Director in addition to oversite of additional Program Directors/Administrators and sites. The Executive Director supervises anywhere from 3-6 programs overall. This is RTC and OP programs. This includes oversite of all facilities functions, staff, and patients.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversees and ensures quality of all aspects of the three to 6 programs they manage and takes initiative to make improvements.
  • Conducts separate weekly treatment team meetings at each location to ensure consistent and effective communication, including proper oversight of patient progress and to ensures a team approach is being utilized.
  • Communicates with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care upon admission, midpoint, and discharge.
  • Facilitates patient transfers to higher level of care, as needed.
  • Participates in clinical outreach and facilitates program tours as needed.
  • Provides on-call support to facility and communicates with the On-Call Administrator as needed.
  • Consistently communicates with home office departments effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates Multi-Family, Family Program and/or Family Weekend.
  • Responsible for timekeeping of clinical employees and oversees all employees’ timekeeping to ensure that all timecards are submitted to payroll in a timely manner and reports any error or corrections to payroll as soon as possible.
  • Oversees the patient intake process, completing related paperwork, reviewing, and obtaining signatures on all consents at the time of admission; sending all necessary information to the home office; assigning additional duties to milieu staff as necessary.
  • Oversees the patient discharge process and assigns duties to milieu staff as necessary.
  • Participates in weekly treatment team meetings, keeping notes and creating the treatment team overview notes for the staff to review.
  • Coordinates and communicates weekly community outing for approved patients.
  • Manages patient charts and facilitates audits in a timely manner .
  • Must be proficient in all Joint Commission and HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Oversees weekly kitchen audits, food rotation, and sanitation.
  • Remains conscious of the budget and communicates facility overages to Operations.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the facility and provides weekly feedback to the home office regarding any environment of care issues.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the facility vehicle.
  • Performs/assigns emergency drills and completes appropriate documentation.
  • Obtain training and a login for the state CHRIS and CONNECT systems (Virginia State Only)
Knowledge, Education, & Experience:
  • Three years experience in management.
  • Masters degree or higher required
  • Two years mental health experience in residential or hospital setting.
  • Must possess a current Driver’s License in good standing.
