As a Supervisory Policy & Program Officer (Chief of Staff) at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Directs and oversees the day-to-day business operations of the Defense Personnel Analytic Center (DPAC), including financial management, personnel management, contract management, and correspondence.
- Serves as the Resource Manager for the development and execution of an annual budget exceeding $120 million, ensuring all fiduciary responsibilities and audit readiness requirements are met.
- Provides supervision, leadership, and mentorship to assigned staff, establishing an environment of excellence, developing performance standards, and managing all related personnel actions.
- Represents DPAC in enterprise-wide forums, working groups, and stakeholder meetings, and coordinates the completion of taskers on behalf of the organization.
- Provides guidance and oversight for DPAC enterprise business operations to include facilities, information technology (IT) support, human resources, budget formulation and execution, and leadership development.
- Oversees the monitoring and review of program goals and milestones and provides oversight over the risk management and internal controls program (RMIC).
- Serves as the Acting Deputy Director in their absence and acts in other key DPAC leadership roles as required.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role managing the development and execution of a large, complex annual budget (e.g., in excess of $100 million) and associated contracts.
- Proven experience providing guidance and oversight for enterprise-level business operations, to include human resources, performance management, IT, and acquisitions.
- Experience in a supervisory capacity planning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and managing personnel and talent development for a diverse team.
- Experience developing, defending, and negotiating for resources and program objectives with senior executive-level stakeholders within the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, or Congress.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
