The Senior Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, and optimizing business and operational processes to improve organizational performance, operational efficiency, and mission delivery. Working closely with government stakeholders, this individual identifies process inefficiencies, develops future-state workflows, implements business process improvements, and establishes sustainable continuous improvement practices across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing business and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives that enhance mission effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process maps, workflow diagrams, value stream maps, and business process models.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and work instructions.
  • Define and implement process performance metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and measurement frameworks to evaluate improvement efforts.
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional working sessions.
  • Collaborate with government leadership and program teams to recommend and implement process optimization strategies.
  • Support organizational transformation initiatives through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Monitor process performance and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare executive briefings, reports, and documentation supporting process improvement initiatives and organizational decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business process improvement, process engineering, operational analysis, organizational transformation, or a related discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification - required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives.
  • Experience developing:
    • Business process maps
    • Workflow diagrams
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Process documentation
    • Performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and technical documentation skills.
