Personal Lines Account Executive

Location: Grove City, OH 
 

Position Overview

The Personal Lines Account Executive will focus primarily on driving new business growth by working inbound leads and turning prospects into loyal clients. This role requires a motivated sales professional who thrives on relationship-building, consultative selling, and providing tailored insurance solutions. While the primary focus is sales, the Account Executive will also ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & New Business Development

    • Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through marketing, referrals, and digital channels.

    • Conduct insurance consultations with prospects to assess coverage needs and recommend appropriate personal lines products (auto, home, renters, umbrella, recreational, etc.).

    • Prepare competitive quotes, present proposals, and close sales efficiently.

    • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.

  • Client Onboarding & Retention

    • Facilitate a seamless transition from sales to service by setting up policies accurately and coordinating with account managers or service staff.

    • Provide a consultative experience that builds trust and encourages long-term client relationships.

    • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to expand client portfolios.

  • Carrier & Market Expertise

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and market trends.

    • Leverage comparative rater and agency technology platforms to streamline the quoting and sales process.

  • Documentation & Compliance

    • Accurately document client interactions, quotes, and policies in the agency management system.

    • Ensure compliance with all agency, carrier, and state insurance requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of personal lines sales experience preferred (account executive, producer, or inside sales role).

  • Active Property & Casualty license (Ohio required, or ability to obtain promptly).

  • Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to close business.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfort working with technology platforms (comparative raters, CRM/AMS, digital tools).
