Job description

Tom Nehl, the undisputed best heavy-duty truck dealership in Northeast Florida and South Georgia, is looking for an experienced and qualified Process Documentation Specialist to join our team.
Position Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and documenting operational processes within the truck dealership. This role focuses on gathering detailed information from front-line employees, mapping workflows, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy. The specialist will create clear process documentation, flow diagrams, and performance metrics to support management decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interview and collaborate with front-line employees to understand daily tasks and workflows.
  • Document job duties, step-by-step procedures, and system interactions for shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Develop clear, standardized process guides for business system usage, including data input and tracking.
  • Create visual flow maps to illustrate current processes and identify bottlenecks or redundancies.
  • Analyze workflows for compliance with dealership standards and best practices.
  • Define and collect key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational processes.
  • Summarize findings and present actionable insights to management through reports and dashboards.
  • Recommend process enhancements based on data analysis and employee feedback.
  • Support implementation of improvements and monitor effectiveness over time.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in process documentation, business analysis, or continuous improvement roles. Experience in dealership operations or logistics/shipping environments is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and MS Office Suite. Excellent communication and interviewing skills for gathering information from diverse teams. Familiarity with business systems used in dealership operations (ERP or DMS systems).
