Job description

WINDROSE is one of the nation's premier residential and commercial land surveying companies. Exacta provides services in Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Texas. Services include all types of residential, commercial, construction and ALTA/NSPS surveys with a commitment of accurate and timely delivery to our clients. Our surveys provide an important component for real estate type transactions involving buyers and sellers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and real estate agents.
Business Development Executive Position Summary
The Business Development Executive position is responsible for servicing current and generating new client relationships for the Commercial Land Surveying industry. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The work is performed in an office and remote setting with moderate noise levels. This job frequently requires the employee to stand, walk, use hands, tools, controls, reach with arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; sit; use hands; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 - 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
Business Development Executive Position Responsibilities
  • Implement structured sales methodologies to establish new client relationships and generate sales revenues.
  • Develop and maintain close personal relations with corporate, governmental, municipal, and other executives of client organizations, handle inquiries and negotiate new assignments with the coordination of management and staff.
  • Maintain continuous professional contact with existing and potential clients.
  • Solicit qualified bid/proposal opportunities.
  • Coordinate with staff and management to develop complete proposals and company qualification submissions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, managers, clients, and other parties as it relates to company services and overall business.
  • Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical, and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will be in the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas metro area.
Business Development Executive Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years or demonstrated experience in high level business development in the land development industry, including but not limited to land surveying, public infrastructure, private development, civil engineering, soils and environmental testing, or land planning.
  • Ability to coordinate and assimilate input from a variety of sources to develop business proposals, along with a track record of growing client portfolios and setting/meeting goals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks at once.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to close win projects.
  • High energy and self-confidence to sustain through long selling cycles.
  • Proven success in developing new client relationships with demonstrated track record of achievement and portfolio growth.
  • Experience in on-site presentations with groups and high-level decision makers. Strong probing aptitude and ability to get to 'why.'
  • Technical aptitude within industry on processes and client needs, including RFP submittal process, MS Office, CRM/ERP systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills - externally and internally, as well as an organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, desire to learn, and achieve goals.
