The United Pentecostal Church International is currently recruiting for the position of Executive Assistant I within Global Missions. The purpose of this position is to assist the director of Education/Short-Term Missions with day-to-day operations of the GM Education Department, which covers GATS (Global Association of Theological Studies), the Annual RENEW (School of Missions), CME (Continuing Missionary Education), MEC (Missions Education Cooperative), and other education projects and opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

The Executive Assistant of Education will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Assist the Director of Education and Short-Term Missions and the field-based Global Bible School Coordinator in matters concerning Education responsibilities in Global Missions.
  • Supervise the Administrative Associate responsible for job duties in relation to GATS, Bible Schools, Ladies Ministries, Student Support, and so forth.
  • Be involved in the preparation, during, and post-event logistics of the annual RENEW (formerly School of Missions) program.
  • Assist in all things related to Education at RENEW.
  • Coordinate the various aspects of the Continuing Missionary Education program, including course development, registrar for all students, assisting participants in answering their questions and providing direction, and grading CME papers and assignments.
  • Serve as the liaison in the office between our team and the Global Coordinator of Global Childrenโ€™s Ministry.
  • Develop resources that can be utilized to mobilize and disciple those at the local church level who may be interested in missions.
  • Work with Ministry Central in developing course material that would be available on that platform.
  • Assist with the Missions Education Cooperative and our efforts to provide missions courses to North American Bible colleges and to the GATS bachelor's degree program.
  • Be an integral part of the Global Education Committee (GEC), the Global Association of Theological Studies (GATS), the Global Educator program, and the GATS Curriculum Development Committee.
  • Oversee the planning and development of General Conference Seminars and will be present at each of these.
  • Attend conferences, events, and meetings on behalf of Education (Global Missions).

Minimum Training and Experience Required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365 (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel) and QuickBooks.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a business or education-related field or commensurate experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow with excellent time-management skills.ย 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.ย 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
  • Strong office etiquette and professional discretion.
