Description
Training Leaders International exists to strengthen the church by sending teachers to equip church leaders. TLI's Director of Global Missions helps provide stability to developing pastoral training programs around the world by mobilizing educators, and teachers
The ideal candidate is a thoroughgoing churchman, has a pastoral heart, demonstrated ability in building teams and strengthening infrastructure, and a passion for serving our team of theological educators across the globe. We require a minimum of five years of cross-cultural missions and overseas living experience. The successful candidate must develop his own personal support network.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build out and lead the Global Partner Care Team
  • Lead the team in setting strategies in helping Global Partners to thrive in their ministry contexts.
  • Oversee the appointment, onboarding, and pre-field phases of new Global Partners
  • Collaborate to identify new fields for Global Partners in schooling planting, school administration, teaching, and leadership training
  • Build strong cooperative relationships with local sending churches in the oversight and care of Global Partners
  • Conduct Global Partner field visits, preferably with your spouse.
  • Pursue personal development in the areas of missions and theological training
  • Represent the Global Missions Department on the TLI Leadership Team.

Qualifications
  • Abiding faith in Jesus Christ
  • Meet character qualifications of a local church elder (1 Tim. 3:2-7)
  • A whole-hearted agreement with The Gospel Coalition Affirmation of Faith
  • Agreement with the vision and strategy of TLI
  • A minimum of 5 years of cross-cultural missions and overseas living experience
  • Experience in leading a team and strengthening systems and infrastructure
  • Skilled in caring for cross-cultural workers, solutions-oriented, prudent and pastoral.
  • A high view of the local church and its central role in missions
  • Masters level degree in theology, biblical studies, or a related field
