Pastor - Upper Room Bible Church
Position Title: Pastor
Salary Package: starting at $65,000: 4 weeks PTO (includes 4 Sundays); Relocation Expense Allowance; Starting date any time after July 31, 2026.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience serving as Pastor or Associate Pastor or other related ministry within a local church.
Education: Formal education with a preference to candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree/certificate of completion in theology, pastoral studies, pastoral ministry, or related field from a college, university, or seminary.
Reporting Relationships: The church is governed by elders. The pastor is a voting member of the elder board, reports to the board, and supervises any paid staff.

Devoted to Teaching, Fellowship, Communion and Prayer (Acts 2:42
Qualifications:
Meets qualifications outlined in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9

Job Description:
Oversee Ministry Programming
The pastor is the primary teacher who delivers expository sermons for Sunday worship
Oversee the worship ministry in conjunction with our worship leader/pastor
Pastoral Care
Provide direct spiritual counsel and biblical guidance to individuals, couples, and families within the congregation
Participate with Elders in the visitation of the sick, hospitalized, homebound, and grieving members
Perform Baptisms and officiate weddings/funerals
Vision and Strategy
Exhibiting vision while working closely with Elders, staff, and key volunteers to form strategic plans for the mission of the church
Communicate and promote these plans to the congregation through preaching and teaching with a call to action to encourage individual participation within the body
Mentor and equip leaders to carry forward the vision and strategy of URBC
Administration
Oversee day-to-day church operations
Supervise any paid staff
In collaboration with treasurer and leadership boards, manage budget, facilities, procedures, and policies
