What is an Executive Mapping Designer?

An Executive Mapping Designer is a professional who specializes in creating high-level visual representations, such as organizational charts, strategic roadmaps, or data maps, for executives and decision-makers. Their work helps clarify complex information, support strategic planning, and enhance communication across leadership teams. They use advanced design tools and data visualization techniques to ensure that information is accessible and actionable for executives. This role typically requires strong analytical, communication, and design skills, as well as experience working with senior leadership.

How does an Executive Mapping Designer typically collaborate with leadership teams during the project lifecycle?

Executive Mapping Designers work closely with organizational leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into effective visual mapping solutions. Throughout a project, they facilitate workshops, gather feedback, and present draft maps to ensure alignment with executive vision. Regular communication with stakeholders is essential, as the designer often adapts and refines deliverables based on evolving requirements. This collaborative approach ensures that mapping outputs are both visually compelling and strategically relevant.

To excel as an Executive Mapping Designer, you need expertise in data visualization, cartography, and spatial analysis, typically supported by a degree in geography, GIS, or a related field. Proficiency with mapping software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and data management systems is essential, along with relevant GIS certifications. Strong project management, communication, and analytical thinking skills help designers effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present complex information clearly. These skills are crucial for producing accurate, visually compelling maps that inform executive decision-making and drive business strategy.

Job description

About Us
Cyvl is a Boston-based tech startup revolutionizing how civil engineering firms and governments map and manage transportation infrastructure.
Our enterprise-grade hardware and software solutions leverage 3D mapping sensors to capture LiDAR, imagery, and GPS data, retrofitted to our customers' vehicles.
This data is processed through our AI-powered cloud pipelines to generate actionable geospatial insights that save cities and engineering firms time, money, and resources.
At Cyvl, our mission is to empower governments to build and maintain public infrastructure they're proud of by accelerating decision-making through our sensors and Infrastructure Intelligence Platform. As an Account Executive, you will help bring this mission to life by connecting municipalities with technology that transforms how they manage their transportation networks.
We're a fast-moving, high-growth team that believes in solving real-world problems with authenticity, simplicity, and boldness. Every member of our team is empowered to take ownership, deliver results, and leave a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
About the Role
We are looking for a driven Account Executive who can build pipeline, run disciplined sales cycles, and close mid-market deals with precision and speed. You will own the full revenue motion from prospecting to close, generating predictable, self-sourced pipeline through cold outreach and high-intent follow-up. This role is designed for someone with 1 to 3 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience who wants to sharpen their craft and grow into a Senior AE or leadership role within 18 to 24 months. You will report directly to the VP of Sales and play a key role in expanding Cyvl's footprint across local governments and engineering firms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Source and close mid-market deals with local governments and engineering firms.
  • Prospect relentlessly through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to build a qualified pipeline.
  • Run tight, detail-oriented sales cycles from first meeting through negotiation and close.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and next-step documentation.
  • Deliver compelling demos and ROI-focused proposals that translate technical value into business outcomes.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications
Required
  • 1 to 3 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience (SaaS or technology preferred).
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quotas with average deal sizes of 30K to 150K.
  • Comfortable self-sourcing pipeline and closing your own deals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience using HubSpot or Salesforce to manage pipeline and forecast accurately.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
  • Hungry to learn, compete, and grow into a Senior AE or leadership role.
Nice to Have
  • Experience selling into government or civil engineering customers.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement cycles.
  • Prior experience in early-stage, high-growth tech environments.

What We Offer
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with immediate vesting
  • Generous PTO, paid parental leave, and flexible work options
  • Annual professional development stipend
  • Team events, referral bonuses, and a collaborative, growth-focused culture

Why Cyvl
At Cyvl, you will join a driven and supportive team that is all out in building technology with real impact. We care deeply about our work, our customers, and each other. Collaboration and trust are central to how we operate.
Our values shape a team that is genuinely RAARE:
  • Real: authentic, transparent, focused on solving real problems with simple and effective solutions.
  • All Out: bold, driven, and committed to delivering results that matter.
  • Accelerating: always learning, growing, and moving with intention.
  • Reliable: we follow through and deliver at a consistently high bar.
  • Empowering: we lift each other up and help governments build infrastructure they can be proud of.

Together, we stay curious, learn quickly, and keep raising the bar. If you want to grow, make an impact that truly matters, and be part of a team that is shaping the future of public infrastructure, you will feel right at home at Cyvl.
At Cyvl, we welcome and celebrate diversity in all its forms. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Your unique perspective is valued here.
