Overview
We are currently seeking Level II Pipeline Mapping Designers with expertise in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly focused on pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in developing base drawings, alignment sheets, and preparing detailed drawings and documentation within the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and experience working with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards and industry codes is expected.
This position is available to candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones of the United States.
Responsibilities
    • Interpret survey data
    • Draft and update more complex alignment sheets, HDDs, and permit drawings
    • Prepare intermediate AutoCAD drawings with minimal supervision.
    • Apply company design standards and procedures to projects.
    • Perform quality checks on drawings and designs.
    • Assist in coordinating project elements with other teams.
    • Begin to take on small design projects independently.
    • Interface with project engineers.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university. Management may consider other education and work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position.
  • 4+ years of experience using AutoCAD software for pipeline design projects
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3d, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word

Preferred Qualification:
  • Associate degree
  • Prior Engineering Consulting Experience
  • MicroStation, ProjectWise, GIS

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
