While both roles operate internationally and remotely, the executive role emphasizes leadership and strategy, whereas the business development role centers on growth and client relations.

What is an executive international remote?

An Executive International Remote is a high-level management professional who oversees global operations, teams, or projects from a remote location rather than being physically present at a specific international office. These executives leverage digital communication tools to manage teams, make strategic decisions, and ensure business objectives are met across different countries and time zones. The role often involves significant cross-cultural communication, strategic planning, and leadership to drive organizational success on a global scale while working remotely.

What unique challenges might an executive working in an international remote role face, and how can they overcome them?

Executives in international remote roles often navigate challenges such as coordinating across different time zones, managing culturally diverse teams, and maintaining effective communication without in-person interaction. To overcome these, it's essential to establish clear communication protocols, embrace flexible scheduling, and invest in building strong relationships through regular virtual check-ins. Leveraging collaborative technologies and being culturally sensitive can also foster team cohesion and drive successful international operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive international remote?

To thrive as an Executive International Remote, you need extensive leadership experience, cross-cultural communication skills, and a background in global business management, often supported by an advanced degree such as an MBA. Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools, project management software, and international regulatory compliance systems is highly valuable. Strong soft skills such as adaptability, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead diverse, distributed teams set top performers apart. These skills are crucial for effectively managing global operations, building relationships across borders, and driving organizational success from a remote setting.

Job description

As the Executive Assistant to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), you are responsible for providing highlevel administrative and operational support in a highvisibility, hightrust environment. This role requires exceptional judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage complex schedules, travel, and executive materials with precision.
Executive support is the primary focus of this role. In addition, you will provide project and task coordination support by tracking initiatives, maintaining transparency into work in progress, and following tasks through to completion, without owning full project management responsibilities.

What you will do

 Executive Support
  • Serve as the primary administrative partner to the Chief Strategy Officer
  • Own and manage a complex, dynamic executive calendar across internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain close, ongoing communication with the CSO to anticipate needs and adjust priorities in real time
  • Coordinate hightouch domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, car services, dining reservations, and detailed itineraries
  • Prepare meeting agendas and materials in advance
  • Capture meeting notes, document decisions, and track action items with accuracy and followthrough
  • Draft, format, and proofread executivelevel documents and correspondence
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
Project & Task Coordination (Secondary Focus)
  • Maintain visibility into projects and initiatives in flight to support CSO priorities
  • Track tasks, deadlines, dependencies, and progress across teams
  • Follow up on action items to ensure timely completion
  • Provide clear, concise status updates to support executive decisionmaking
  • Organize and maintain documentation related to strategic initiatives
Technical Skills & Tools
  • Microsoft Outlook – advanced executive calendar management
  • Microsoft Excel – advanced proficiency including data manipulation, trackers, formulas, filters, and conditional formatting (no financial modeling required)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint – creation of polished, printready, clientfacing presentations
  • Microsoft Word – professional document drafting and formatting
  • Microsoft Visio – basic proficiency for diagrams, workflows, or process visuals
  • CRM familiarity preferred; Salesforce experience is a plus

What you will bring

  • 5 + Years of executivelevel administrative support experience, ideally supporting Csuite leadership
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex calendars and hightouch travel
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven discretion in handling confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt in a fastpaced environment
Availability & Flexibility

This role, in supporting senior leadership and clientfacing initiatives, may occasionally require flexibility outside typical business hours. These needs are generally known in advance and tied to projects or travel, rather than unexpected or ongoing afterhours work. Candidates should be aware of this expectation and comfortable exercising a reasonable degree of flexibility when needed.

What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • The CSO’s schedule and travel run smoothly even amid frequent changes
  • Meetings are wellprepared, documented, and followed by clear action items
  • Excel trackers and documents are accurate, clear, and reliable
  • PowerPoint materials are consistently polished and clientready
  • Projects in flight are transparent and followed through to completion

For California, Colorado, and New York applicants, the pay range is $60,000 to $80,000

What we offer

  • Competitive payrates based on skills and experience
  • Extensive benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, HSA, mental health programs, Employee Assistance Program, short term disability, voluntary insurance (LTD, auto, home, life, legal, pet, identify theft), employee discounts
  • Rest and relaxation: Paid holidays and generous PTO based on tenure
  • Community and Philanthropy: Paid volunteer time
  • Paid Maternity and Parental Leave
  • Contribute to your future: 401K plan and robust continuous learning opportunities
