Job description

Position Type: Part-Time, hourly, as needed during office hours (Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm)

Direct Supervisor: Executive Assistant to the Executive Pastor

Position Summary: A substitute Receptionist is a back-up for the main Church Receptionist who serves as the first point of contact for the congregation and community, providing welcoming and professional front-office support. This role requires an understanding of church ministries, the ability to manage a variety of calls and requests, and a commitment to clear communication. All responsibilities are carried out with a focus on leveraging who we are and what we have been given as a church for the sake of the gospel.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, members, and guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Handle diverse phone and in-person requests, providing accurate information and ensuring timely follow-up
  • Perform other related duties that may benefit the church as directed by the Network & Systems Administrator or Executive leadership
