Description:

POSITION PURPOSE: Make CPC a warm, welcoming and safe environment by greeting, assisting and screening guests on the phone and in person.


POSITION OUTCOMES/EXPECTATIONS:

  • Create a welcoming and hospitable environment at the reception desk by welcoming and greeting guests and assisting them with any needs, such as finding a building, or an appointment location
  • Serve as the main receptionist/operator by answering the main line phone calls
  • Process data entry as available during the day to capture attendance, registrations, etc… in the church database
  • Maintain front desk security procedures with all campus guests that enter in the sanctuary building
  • Facilitate Copy Room or supply needs for church members or guests
  • Manage the sanctuary building facilities and room management reservations system (eSpace)
  • Ensure the lobby is set up fully stocked with hospitality supplies such as water, coffee, etc.
  • Liaise with the Campus Standards Coordinator and/or Facilities for any repairs or cleaning required within the sanctuary building
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned
  • Setup and oversee the Welcome Center for Sunday AM worship, engaging with the congregation before and after worship.
  • Support church involvement through follow-up with new visitors and congregants looking for opportunities to participate in the life of the church.
Requirements:

Education

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred

Experience

  • 1 year working as a receptionist or in an office environment preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Warm and hospitable demeanor
  • Multi-tasking in a distracting environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to learn church-specific web based programs (Church Community Builder, eSpace, etc)

Requirements

  • All employees must commit to performing their duties in accordance with the stated mission and purpose of the school, CPC Policies and Procedures Manual, CPC101, and the Westminster Confession of Faith. All employees must be evangelical Christians.
  • Membership at Christ Presbyterian Church is highly encouraged.
  • Sunday-Thursday work schedule
