The Parish Receptionist serves as the welcoming face and voice of the Catholic community, offering hospitality, administrative support, and a spirit of service to all who contact or visit the parish office. This role supports the mission of the Church by ensuring smooth daily operations, assisting clergy and staff, and fostering a warm, organized, and faith-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hospitality & Front Desk Support
    • Greet parishioners, visitors, and those seeking assistance with warmth, professionalism, and respect.
    • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with clarity and compassion.
    • Provide general information about parish programs, Mass schedules, sacraments, and events.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Prepare and distribute routine correspondence, forms, and documents.
    • Assist with sacramental recordkeeping in ParishSoft database in accordance with diocesan guidelines.
    • Responsible for ordering and maintaining office and copier supplies.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supplies.
    • Responsible for managing mass intentions and flower and votive requests.
    • Assist in recording, processing and reporting donations and miscellaneous income.
    • Collaborate with clergy, staff, and ministry leaders to support and assist with parish initiatives.
    • Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area that reflects the parish's mission and values.
