Job description

The Grandparents Community Network (TGCN)

Frisco, TX | Remote/Hybrid | Long-Term Volunteer Position

TGCN is seeking a dependable, proactive, and highly organized Volunteer Executive & Personal Assistant to provide direct support to the Founder/CEO.

This is a long-term volunteer opportunity, not an internship or short-term project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendar, meetings, appointments, reminders, and priorities
  • Monitor and organize executive email and respond as directed
  • Draft professional letters and correspondence to partners and prospects
  • Make professional follow-up calls; strong verbal/telephone communication is preferred over relying primarily on email or text
  • Prepare materials for meetings, calls, presentations, and events
  • Take notes and track action items, deadlines, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate communication with department leaders
  • Assist other departments with administrative needs and special projects
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
  • Anticipate needs and take initiative without waiting for every instruction

Qualifications

  • Dependable, consistent, proactive, and service-minded
  • Excellent organization and follow-through
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ENGLISH AS PRIMARY LANGUAGE (multi lingual okay)
  • Comfortable making professional telephone calls
  • Able to draft professional business correspondence
  • Comfortable with email, calendars, documents, and technology
  • Trustworthy with confidential information
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a Christian, faith-centered environment
  • Executive, administrative, nonprofit, church, or ministry experience preferred

Retired and semi-retired executive/administrative professionals are encouraged to apply.

Commitment

20โ€“25 hours per week | 6โ€“12 month commitment preferred

This is a hybrid position. Candidates should live within approximately 20โ€“25 miles of 75035 and have reliable transportation.

This is currently an unpaid volunteer position. Future paid employment is not guaranteed but considered for the right candidate.
