Job description

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a dedicated and strategic Property & Casualty Account Executive to act as an outsourced risk manager for our valued clients and prospects. This role is pivotal in managing and servicing existing accounts, as well as nurturing future accounts. The successful candidate will be the driving force leading the charge in risk analysis through our Risk Management Assessment process. As a champion for C&B, this position promotes the good of the team and the company through forward thinking, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact for all client-related questions and requests.
  • Lead conversations with clients to identify and address gaps in coverage, ensuring comprehensive account management.
  • Present pre-renewal and renewal strategies to clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Develop and prepare detailed marketing submissions and proposals for both new and renewal business.
  • Craft and deliver a written service timeline and value proposition, showcasing our commitment to client satisfaction during annual stewardship meetings.
  • Guarantee policy accuracy and alignment with proposed coverages, providing peace of mind to our clients.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from our internal team, client contacts, and carrier partners, maintaining a 24-hour response window.
  • Initiate proactive correspondence with clients and insurers on a variety of topics, including coverages, rates, policy changes, audits, dividends, and billing issues.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of current state-issued insurance licenses in jurisdictions where clients or prospects are located.
  • Responsible for maintaining license status through ongoing continuing education and professional development.
