Are you a strong team player with a work ethic second to none? If so, Manhattan Beer and Beverage Distributors is looking for a Wine and Spirits Sales Manager.
This position is ideal for a capable and ambitious individual accustomed to working in a high volume environment under tight deadlines.
How Will You Contribute?
This position directs and leads the overall efforts within the branch-assigned area to maximize product sales, distribution and profitability. Developing, motivating and managing a multi-layered sales team is an essential responsibility of this role.
Focus:
  • Establish and achieve goals and objectives for volume sales achievement and trade contact development.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and increasing the distribution of the company's portfolio in the assigned territory.
  • Ensure successful execution of ABS programming by sales team within the assigned territory.
  • Serve as key contact with supplier personnel to execute sales and marketing plans in the assigned area.
  • Maintain budgetary guidelines effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee all quality assurance efforts.
  • Motivate the sales team to achieve branch and area sales, distribution, and merchandising goals.
  • Manage the daily activities of direct reports within the assigned territory.
  • Assess and develop associate skill levels, effectively evaluate each direct report, and provide personal development plans for each individual.
  • Responsible for the overall management of company property, including but not limited to company vehicles.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of sales management experience in a multi-layered sales organization, including experience managing frontline and supervisory staff.
  • Sales experience in retail and consumer goods desired. Beverage and beer experience is a strong plus.
  • Intermediate ability with Microsoft Excel and Word. Advanced skills a plus.
  • Comfort level using apps and technology to deliver effective sales presentations.
  • Superior communication and relationship-building ability.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous desire to improve.

The typical range for someone entering this role is $95,000.00-$120,000.00 annually, including base salary and commission opportunities. However, this may vary based on market factors. Reimbursement is provided for the use of your vehicle. Incentives and earning potential can increase with time and experience. Full benefits are available.
