Our Corporate Sales Headquarters has an excellent opportunity available for a Global Account Manager.  We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic, team player that can also work independently in our fast-paced, corporate sales department. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organization skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task and calmly handle quickly changing priorities under tight deadlines with great attention to details are essential for success. The position is located at CSHQ Location in New York and reports to DGM / CSHQ-ER.

Salary Range: $125,00 - $137,500

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Account Management Responsibility -Focus on Account Management Sales for existing customers
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining strong C-Level relationships within existing and new accounts
  • Responsible for managing overall business relationship for assigned accounts
  • Assigned revenue targets for new business from existing customer
  • Ability to conduct strategic sales for assigned Global Customers - identify opportunities, decision makers, solutions
  • Expected to make 10 direct customer calls per month to assigned targets
  • Manage completion of customer presentations, QBR Meeting Materials and other internal reports and presentations as required.
  • Oversee implementation of new lanes or other customer business initiatives (productivity improvements, KPI Report, EDI etc)
  • Teamwork - Must work professionally and effectively with key sales and operations staff worldwide in order to achieve macro target revenue goals.
  • Communication/Feedback - Accept feedback willingly; develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.
  • Process Improvement - Identify new administrative, sales or operations processes that increase overall team efficiency and enhance professionalism, and make recommendations for implementation to management. 
  • Develop, improve and maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge by staying current with important industry issues and networking with co-workers, customers and industry contacts.
  • Coaching to Program Managers and Operations on Industry and Customer trends and expectations

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

  • A./B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Account Management and Sales experience in the Logistics Industry.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to conduct Sr. level corporate meetings and executive presentations
  • Strong self-motivation and strategic focus - ability to quickly identify key decision makers and opportunities
  • Ability to close business - clearly identify short and long-term global opportunities within the existing account base
  • High-level negotiating skills - ability to negotiate global contracts and processes

Sales Activity Expectations:

  • Established Annual Revenue Target / Operation Profit Target
  • Update the Target Account list on a weekly basis
  • Issue Customer quotations
  • New Business reported and maintained on a monthly basis
  • Attend meetings and report sales activity on a weekly basis as requested
  • Ability to utilize CRM tools for clear and timely sales updates
  •  Strong MS Office skills- PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
