West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School is an inner city Arts and Technology K-5 Elementary School. We are a family oriented environment with family and community involvement being an integral part of our mission to enrich the lives of our students.

JOB SUMMARY

In this position, the Executive Assistant to the principal provides support to the principal in a wide range of office and school operations; coordinates and organizes office activities, the principal's calendar, and flow of communications and information for the principal. The qualified applicant will set an example as a continuous, open-minded learner, devoted to promoting the values of the school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requires a full range of skills in the operation of computers, compiling and producing correspondence, reports, records, file keeping, etc.
  • Receive calls, check e-mails, make appointments, and schedule meetings for the principal as directed.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of staff attendance reports and profesional development relating to the responsibilities of the principal.
  • Coordination of school's special activities for students, staff and family engagement.
  • Ability to use PowerSchool, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other database software to perform work assignments.
  • Responsible for handling items of a confidential nature.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate Business/School degree with (2) or more year's of experience.
  • Five (5) or more year's of post high school secretarial experience (preferred).
  • Must have or the ability to obtain all clearances (FBI, State, & Child Abuse).
