Job description

Reports To: Marketing & Events Director
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • People: None, other than self.
  • Data: Vendor lists, customer information, email database, editorial and advertising content, readership data/analytics, SAS tools.
  • Things: Computer, telephone, all department files.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates all aspects of PBN's annual events.
  • Develops and implements plans and checklists of assigned events.
  • Assist Publisher and Sales as needed with special emphasis on in-house advertising and promotion.
  • Manage all the ROS ads and E-Blasts for clients, in-house sales products, and events.
  • Manage and grow social media platforms to promote PBN and community events.
  • Manage all paid co-branded social media posts for clients.
  • Work efficiently and effectively with in-house staff, customers, and vendors.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Suggest and initiate, as appropriate, new methods and procedures to enhance the efficient operation of the department.
  • Manage generating revenue through PBN.com ticket sales.
  • Develop promotional plans and coordinate in-house and outside media promotion of PBN events within budget parameters
  • Develop, manage, and post all event-related pages and updates on the company website, including the development of special landing pages for the collection of information, nominations and registrations in Word Press
  • Process registrations for all events, prepare name badges and manage registration table day of event.
  • Email follow-up thank you to all attendees and enter emails into the database.
  • Assist with budgeting and "flash" report including monitoring monthly budget and expenses.
  • Assist in PBN promotion house ad flow with Graphic Designers and online components.
  • Coordinate the development and training of online registration tools for:
    • attendee registrations and award nominations for all PBN Publications events.
    • online reservations of event-related transactions for all events, program ads, electricity and other
    • assisting other sales-related initiatives for print, digital or event advertising and sponsorships offered by PBN Publications.
  • Promote and increase "opt-in" email addresses for the daily e-newsletter.
  • Plan, develop, and execute social media campaigns, landing pages and other promotional strategies to increase email subscribers.
  • Create content for events, promotional campaigns, and other areas as needed.
  • Responsible for integrating video into the company website and social media.
  • Coordinate the production and implementation of any videos produced by any outside vendors if the budget allows.
  • Coordinate the production and marketing of any corporate or client-related podcasts, including the integration of the podcasts on the company website.
  • Positively represent PBN and WCI in the community.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form, with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a "customer comes first" environment with pro-active commitment to internal and external customer service.
  • Actively participates in Great Game of Business.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Behavior: Self-starter who works well with others; presents a "friendly and helpful" image with internal and external customers. Must be imaginative, creative, resourceful, organized, able to work independently, follow through on projects and meet deadlines. Preserve confidentiality. Appropriate professional behavior and attire. Maintains a valid driver's license and adequate auto insurance.
Skills: Marketing skills. Leadership ability. Technical Skills. Strong communication skills, both written and orally. Detail oriented. Ability to produce, edit, and publish video as needed for marketing efforts a plus. Understanding of business, retail or accounting procedures or applications.
Knowledge: College degree or equivalent successful career track with minimum of one year in advertising, marketing or business. Experience with event coordination. Proficient in or able to learn basic Word Press updates, Active Campaign and Survey Gizmo with ability to learn new software as needed.
