Are you passionate about outdoor events and ready to bring exciting mountain experiences to life at Sun Peaks Resort? We seek a highly motivated Events Assistant to support the planning, coordinating, and executing of various mountain events at Sun Peaks Resort. This role involves assisting in event logistics, including setting up and tearing down equipment, ensuring health and safety protocols, managing volunteer recruitment and scheduling, and maintaining event supplies and infrastructure. The Events Assistant will also act as a liaison between Sun Peaks and third-party event partners, working closely with internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of all event activities. Compensation Information: $22.00 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; both in an outdoor and indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

  • Working knowledge of Sun Peaks Ski Trails.
  • Intermediate or above skiing or snowboarding ability essential.
  • Experience operating snowmobiles, ATVs and hauling trailers is essential.
  • Previous work experience in coordinating outdoor events, races, or activations.
  • Must communicate well with others and work as a team.
  • Organized, efficient, and dependable.
  • Must understand the value of creating and maintaining a sense of urgency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and production of various mountain events.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed with any and all event activations.
  • Set up and tear down mountain events, related equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with internal departments as required for planning and execution purposes.
  • Upkeep, inventory and maintenance of event supplies and infrastructure.
  • Execution of various event tactics, as required.
