Job Details
Don't want to smell like chicken wings after every shift? Trade the kitchen for concerts, commencements, and campus events.
Looking for an engaging summer job that keeps you active and connected to campus life? Join our Event & Ticketing Staff team and play a behind-the-scenes role in some of the University's most exciting moments! This position supports a wide range of University-sponsored events including Orientation programs, Commencement ceremonies, concerts, and performances by visiting and resident artists. Our team also assists with University-affiliated events such as Greek life programs and special ceremonies.
Event & Ticketing Staff members assist with event setup, ticket scanning, seating guests, distributing programs, and managing crowds. When scheduled in the box office, staff will process ticket sales using the Paciolan Ticketing System, reconcile a cash drawer, answer phones, and complete general office tasks.
Summer hires have a distinct advantage. Because the summer event calendar is significantly busier than the fall and spring semesters, employees hired during this period are often prioritized for advancement opportunities. Consistent summer work allows staff to build experience quickly, with high-performing employees able to move into box office roles-and potentially house management positions-much sooner than typical fall or spring hires.
Flexibility is essential, as shifts vary based on the University's event calendar and may include nights and weekends. The successful candidate will be dependable, guest-focused, and committed to creating a welcoming and safe experience for all patrons. Hours may fluctuate from week to week but are generally 30+ hours per week.
Coastal Carolina University is an EO/AA employer.
