Overview

Hours:ย  Monday - Friday, 5-10 hours per week during the school year, with additional hours possible during breaks and over the summer. Additional hours available during Student and Recent Grad Team hosted events. Flexibility of scheduling, working around class schedules, and academic or other obligations will be offered.

Theย Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA*), the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for UW-Madison, is seeking a Student and Recent Grad Engagement Intern.ย  This position will assist with a variety of projects which include, but are not limited to, programming and event planning, Recent Grad Council, connecting with campus partners, current students, alumni, and more.ย  The internship offers the opportunity to network with influential alumni while gaining valuable programming experience.

  • Support and assist with programs and activities driven by SRG team:
    • Wisconsin Welcome Initiatives
      • The W Project
      • New Student Ice Cream Social
    • Commencement Initiatives (Winter & Spring)
    • WFAA Homecoming Programming
    • Recent Grad Weekend (Summer, schedule permitting)
    • Wisconsin Alumni Student Board (WASB) initiatives
    • Think Pink Basketball Game
    • Badger Meet Up Events
    • Recent Grad Council administrative support
  • Assist with communicating with students and recent grads via email, phone, and in-person
  • Assist with the WFAA event set-up, and tear down and hosting
  • Support, assist and represent WFAA at campus partner sponsored events/ activities
  • Create impact reports following key programming and share internally
  • Attend biweekly team meetings
  • Perform other duties in support of the organizational mission and university advancement.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Current UW-Madison student
  • Strong writing skillsย 
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and involvement on campus
  • Knowledge and experience in event planning and implementation
