Looking for a leadership role in a fast-paced, event-driven environment?

The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Event Operations Supervisor to help lead the execution of weddings, conferences, galas, meetings, and special events.

This is not an event planning or sales position.

Instead, you'll serve as the on-site operational leader responsible for supervising banquet associates, overseeing event setup and service, working directly with clients during their events, and ensuring every function is executed successfully from setup through breakdown.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership position, enjoys working with a team, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting pay: $20.00-$22.00/hour, based on experience
  • Full-time position
  • Non-exempt, overtime eligible
  • Average hours: 30-45 per week
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required based on event schedules

What You’ll Do

As an Event Operations Supervisor, you'll help ensure events run smoothly from setup through completion while providing leadership to banquet associates and exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and support banquet associates during event setup, service, and breakdown
  • Execute banquet event orders (BEOs) and ensure events are delivered according to client expectations
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for clients during events
  • Oversee food and beverage service to ensure quality and consistency
  • Ensure banquet rooms are set according to event specifications and company standards
  • Monitor event timelines and adjust operations as needed
  • Resolve guest and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and storage areas
  • Assist with scheduling and labor planning based on event needs
  • Monitor inventory and ensure necessary supplies are available
  • Process banquet billing and ensure accuracy
  • Support training and development of banquet associates
  • Communicate effectively with managers and other departments
  • Attend department meetings and assist with other duties as assigned
