What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Evening Remote Billing Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Evening Remote Billing Specialist, you need strong attention to detail, knowledge of billing procedures, and a background in accounting or finance, often supported by relevant certifications. Familiarity with billing software, electronic invoicing systems, and spreadsheet applications is typically required. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills help ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently. These competencies are crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and timely billing, which are essential for organizational cash flow and client satisfaction.

What are evening remote billing jobs?

Evening remote billing jobs involve managing and processing billing-related tasks for an organization during evening hours, all from a remote location. These positions typically include duties such as preparing invoices, verifying billing data, communicating with clients or insurance companies, and ensuring timely payments. Working remotely in this role allows for flexible scheduling, making it ideal for those who need to balance other commitments during the day. Evening remote billing jobs are common in industries like healthcare, legal, and finance, where billing needs extend beyond standard business hours.

While both roles are remote healthcare positions with flexible hours, Evening Remote Billing focuses on processing insurance claims and payment posting, often requiring billing certifications. Conversely, Evening Remote Coding involves assigning medical codes to diagnoses and procedures, requiring coding certifications. Understanding these differences helps job seekers find the role that best matches their skills and credentials.

What are some common challenges faced in an evening remote billing role, and how can they be managed?

One common challenge in an evening remote billing position is coordinating with team members or clients who may primarily work standard business hours, which can slow down communication or problem resolution. Additionally, working remotely in the evenings may require strong self-discipline and time management to maintain productivity without direct supervision. To manage these challenges, it’s helpful to establish clear communication channels, set expectations with coworkers about response times, and create a dedicated, distraction-free workspace. Regularly checking in with your team via email or messaging platforms can also help bridge any communication gaps.

Job description

Thriveworks is currently seeking Licensed Clinicians to provide telehealth sessions in the evenings and on weekends in New Mexico.

About the job

Thriveworks is a mental health care company founded by clinicians in 2008 and still led by them today. With 340+ locations and a nationwide hybrid care model, we serve over 175,000 clients annually through more than 1.7 million sessions, and we're growing. In addition to working directly with clients, we partner with health systems and primary care providers because we believe mental health is inseparable from physical health. As a clinician-led organization, we're built to support the people who do this work with the tools, community, and stability you need to build a career that lasts.

About the Role

We’re hiring licensed clinicians to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to our more than 175,000 clients across the country. You may be a good fit for this role if you’re:

  • Independently licensed and living in New Mexico — LPCC, LMFT, LCSW/LISW or Licensed Psychologist

  • Consistently available to clients for a minimum of 10 sessions with 15 hours of availability weekly

  • A behavioral health generalist who is open to treating a variety of clients, including couples and children

  • Invested in helping your clients achieve measurable progress

  • Confident working with modern clinical technology, including telehealth and EHR tools

  • A good teammate — we’re building a clinical community and value positive contributors

Compensation

Up to $25,200.00 based on licensure type, session volume, and bonus opportunities.

How We Support You

We handle the administrative work so you can focus on what you do best: providing exceptional care. That means credentialing, billing, scheduling, and marketing support taken care of for you, plus paid orientation and training to get you started. You'll build a full caseload within 90 days of credentialing, with flexible scheduling available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

Benefits

As a W2 employee, you'll be eligible to receive:

  • Guaranteed bi-weekly pay for completed sessions

  • 401(k) with employer matching

  • Paid time off

  • CEU reimbursement and free in-house training

  • Opportunities for paid clinical supervisor roles in select states

All clinical leadership is promoted from within, so the people supporting you have been exactly where you are.
