Eyecare Services Partners is searching for a skilled, full time Accounts Receivable Representative. You must bring at least one to two years of experience in ophthalmology billing and one to two plus years of RCM, Medical Collections, Claims Processing, or AR experience to be considered for this position.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist Representative position is responsible for evaluating outstanding AR and communicating trends while working to recoup all potential funds. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to performing duties designated by the Revenue Cycle administrator, training staff, resolving targeted AR issues, file appeals, approve adjustments, and ensure maximum revenue capture. This role will reinforce the policies, procedures, protocols, and norms set forth by Eyecare Services Partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit AR balances ensuring collect payments are exhausted prior to posting adjustments
  • Audit AR claim reports ensuring timely correction processing.
  • Audit cash posting reports
  • Audit claims, excessive adjustments
  • Audit credit balances
  • Interactive customer service with insurance payers, utilize payer websites determining claim resolution.
  • Partner with revenue cycle leadership to resolve trends and barriers limiting effective revenue cycle processes
  • Meet deadlines as communicate
  • Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality
  • Provide assistance within the department as requested
  • Respond to all patient and insurance inquiries in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of patient collection experience
  • Experience with Excel and Windows-based programs.
  • Experience in performing tasks that require a basic understanding of accounting and math skills.
  • Experience with insurance payers across varied geographical regions.
  • Experience NextGen PM/EHR
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Required Experience:

  • 1 - 2 years of Optometry and Ophthalmology billing expertise
  • 1 - 2 years of RCM, Medical Collections, Claims Processing, or AR experience
  • Advanced Excel ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
