We are seeking an Estimating Coordinator for our Midtown Manhattan office. ย The Estimating Coordinator is an in-office role and is responsible for the administrative coordination of the construction bid process and working in partnership with the internal Estimating Team.ย  The ideal candidate has exceptional communication skills as this role is highly collaborative and requires significant time on the phone speaking with subcontracting companies.ย  Candidates should have an acute attention to detail and a strong ability to relationship-build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration and tracking of bidsย 
  • Review plans with Estimators for trade selection and plan breakout; log subcontractors selected by Estimator for each tradeย 
  • Generate bid invitations, contact subcontractors to secure bids, log responses, issue plans and specifications of project
  • Maintain and update bidding database
  • Provide weekly status reports
  • Perform additional duties as assignedย 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, phone demeanor, and organizational skills requiredย 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related Construction field, or relevant work experience
  • Construction experience a plusย 
  • Strong proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge of Construction software such as Building Connected, BidMail, iSqFt, PlanHub preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Schimenti's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and specific performance awards. In addition, Schimenti provides a variety of comprehensive benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, and paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
