Job description

Position: Escrow Assistant

Location: Destrehan, Louisiana

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive compensation package based on experience, including salary, bonus opportunities, 401(k), and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of real estate transactions from contract execution through post-closing.

  • Prepare and review closing-related documents, including settlement statements, closing disclosures, deeds, powers of attorney, and other transaction documents.

  • Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, real estate agents, attorneys, and municipal offices to ensure smooth and timely closings.

  • Support title curative efforts and assist with resolving issues that may impact closing.

  • Manage file documentation and maintain accurate transaction records.

  • Assist with escrow account administration, including receipt of funds, disbursements, wire transfers, and check processing.

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, lender requirements, and industry regulations.

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the closing process.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience working for a title company is required.

  • Experience supporting residential and/or commercial real estate closings.

  • Strong understanding of escrow procedures, title operations, and closing processes.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and title/closing software such as SoftPro or similar platforms.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
