What We Do
Epic's multi-specialized team of attorneys and legal professionals partner across our organization to provide legal solutions as well as consult and inform on the products we build and games we develop.
What You'll Do
As Litigation Counsel at Epic Games, you will provide legal support globally to a dynamic, fast-paced video game and software development company. This includes managing all aspects of legal disputes and litigation including outside counsel, factual investigation and discovery, motions practice and leading trial teams.
In this role, you will
  • Shape, inform, and implement multifaceted litigation strategies across various subject matters to advance and protect company priorities.
  • Manage and help run all aspects of litigation from inception through resolution, including e-discovery; fact development and analysis; witness preparation; motion practice; as well as arbitration and trial preparation and presentation.
  • Manage outside counsel, including budgets, to ensure efficiency and litigation strategy alignment with Epic principles.
  • Frequently collaborate with cross-functional legal and business teams to practically balance legal risk with business needs and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for improving internal litigation processes and implement solutions.
  • Strategize, coordinate, and manage all aspects of pre-litigation matters.
What we're looking for
  • 4+ years of litigation experience; a plus factor would be in-house experience and/or experience in the technology or gaming industries.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strategic, proactive decisionmaking.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced environment where no day is like another.
  • Willingness to engage in new and unfamiliar tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Effective and direct communicator who is experienced and interested in working in a collaborative environment, partnering with both legal and business teams.
  • Familiarity with the US litigation process (international experience a plus).
  • Detail oriented and driven to provide high-quality work.
