Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Epic Ambulatory Analyst position for our client.

Location: Remote, travel up to 3 days a month; client location: San Mateo, CA
Duration: 6+ months

Duties:

  • Analyze, design, configure, test, and implement Epic Ambulatory solutions aligned with organizational and clinical requirements

  • Collaborate with clinicians, providers, and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective system functionality

  • Support the design and optimization of outpatient/ambulatory workflows to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency

  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement scalable, sustainable solutions

  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and special projects, including Epic version updates and new feature rollouts

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including workflows, build specifications, and training materials

  • Participate in integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide go-live and post-go-live support

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and Epic best practices

  • Provide end-user support, issue resolution, and training as needed

  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for usability, efficiency, and data integrity

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Epic Ambulatory module configuration, workflows, and best practices

  • Understanding of outpatient clinical workflows and healthcare operations

  • Experience with system build, testing methodologies, and production support

  • Knowledge of population health concepts and ambulatory care models

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both clinical and technical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams

Experience:

  • Epic Ambulatory Certification required

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting Epic in ambulatory/outpatient settings

  • Experience working within healthcare systems or hospital environments preferred

  • Healthy Planet Certification preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $145,000.
