They complete a credentialing program specific to Epic software modules, which includes in-depth training, passing proficiency assessments, and demonstrating strong teaching skills. These trainers develop curriculum, conduct classroom training, and provide ongoing support to healthcare staff to ensure effective use of Epic systems. Their work helps healthcare providers maintain accurate records and deliver efficient patient care.

To thrive as an Epic Credentialed Trainer, you need expertise in adult education, healthcare workflows, and Epic application knowledge, usually supported by a bachelor’s degree and Epic Credentialing. Proficiency in Epic training environments, curriculum development tools, and learning management systems is essential. Strong communication, patience, and adaptability help trainers engage diverse learners and handle dynamic training situations. These skills and qualities are crucial for effectively teaching end-users, supporting successful software adoption, and ensuring optimal use of Epic systems in healthcare organizations.

What are some common challenges Epic Credentialed Trainers face when onboarding new users, and how can they be addressed?
