Job description

This position requires that you be located in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Delaware, or Florida.
Position Summary:
Works under the supervision of a Data Trust Analytic Team Leader or other data governance or analytic leadership appropriate for the scope of work. This supervision may be through a matrixed or direct reporting structure. This role is responsible for data analytics and additional support of performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualization, and information dissemination. They are subject matter data experts that work with IT solutions to solve high priority organizational analytic problems in their work area. This role involves developing and fine tuning exploratory IT solutions, which includes coding, testing, debugging, designing, and implementing newly developed BI solutions. Spends time researching and planning analytic solutions for existing and new problems within the organization as directed by their supervisor and leadership. Responsible for leading the subject matter strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence tools. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems independently. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhance clinical & business decision-making capabilities. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Goals are communicated in solution or project goal terms. Will provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Partners and collaborates with other analytic teams and data warehouse engineers.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, field of Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Healthcare, or equivalent preferred.
  • Master's Degree strongly preferred.

Required Licensure Certification, etc.:
  • EDW internal certification required within 6 months. A certification such as Certified Analytics Professional, project management, or a certification in a data analytic tool such as Tableau Software, or Epic required.
  • The ability to obtain Epic Caboodle or Clarity Certification as requested in the first year.

Work Experience:
  • Requires minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, analytics, software development or data management. Experience with Business intelligence development tools such as tableau and SAS and programming tools such as R, Python, and SQL.
  • Requires demonstrated experience in project management or management and experience working with external vendors.

Salary Range: Minimum 46.66/hour - Maximum 81.67/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
