Position Type: Full-Time W2, Hourly, Contract-to-hire

Overview
The Business Intelligence Developer I will define, develop and deploy dashboards, reports and visualizations to enable metrics-driven decisions to support business needs. The Business Intelligence Developer I will be able to understand business activities in a multiple business/functional area and be able to capture requirements, identify required data sources, design and develop reports using BI reporting tools, keeping in mind data governance and compliance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and test Power BI Applications integrating reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Interact with business stakeholders/partners to understand their business and reporting needs, including critical metrics and KPIs
  • Transform business requirements & wireframes into guided analytics prototypes to provide business and data insights
  • Solicit and document requirements for dashboards, reports and visualization
  • Work closely with BI team to provide input on appropriate solutions to meet business requirements
  • Work with current reporting standards and processes
  • Provide daily support for reporting systems, which includes maintenance and enhancements to reports and dashboards as well as responding to assigned tickets, troubleshooting and final resolution
  • Train the business how to utilize the Power BI Applications
  • Ensure all reports and data transfers comply with company and HIPAA security guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years' experience with Business Intelligence Reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • 2 years' experience with MS SQL Server or other Relational database systems
  • Experience with AWS Redshift
  • Experience in optimizing dashboards with focus on usability, performance, flexibility and standardization
  • Experience in writing and debugging SQL queries
  • Skilled in SQL development and troubleshooting, including developing stored procedures
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems and development experience in one or more BI
  • Reporting Tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
  • Ability to understand business processes in order to create solutions that enable the business to effectively
  • manage their functions
  • Ability to effectively interpret and analyze data and present results to stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively with others to achieve defined goals
