Job Summary:Responsible for responding to requests from users for new or modified systems. This may involve planning, designing and analyzing various programs or software. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures, define system requirements, determine programming and output needs. Recommends and approves technical and procedural design for new or revised applications, including system specifications and programming guidelines. Responsible for documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections. Skillset Requirements: A Sr. Business Intelligence Developer (BID) in Epic must possess advanced SQL querying capabilities across Clarity, and Caboodle, to extract, join, and build robust data extracts. They must demonstrate strong knowledge of Epic data models (Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito) to select the appropriate data source and translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions, while owning the full reporting lifecycle Essential Functions:Responsible for the planning, design, testing, implementation, support and analysis of programs and software.Recommends technical and procedural designs for new or revised applications, including system specifications and programming guidelines.Consults with users to identify current operating procedures for departmental changes, defines system requirements, identifies programming and output needs and develops designs to meet these needs. Also documents program development, logic, coding and corrections.Takes ownership of resolution for product and/or implementation issues.Participates in risk assessment, and assists in root cause analysis.Ensures that change management policies and procedures are being applied.Provides mentorship to less senior team members, and is accountable as a role model for customer service excellence.Provides forward-thinking technical leadership for application systems, and utilizing an understanding of both the current and future states of the technology is able define and articulate pros, cons and recommendations to senior leadership.Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.Performs other duties as assigned. #LI-AD2#LI-REMOTE
Must Have:Strong knowledge of Epic data models (Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito, GoAnywhere) Nice To Have:Nice to have familiarity with community connect practices and Corewell health standards for reporting/analytics Qualifications:Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalentPreferred Master's Degree or equivalent5 years of relevant experience planning, design, testing, implementation, support, analysis of programs and software, and or a participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation RequiredCertified in following core technical areas in EPIC platform - Cogito, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data. Preferred Skills:An understanding and functional knowledge of key application data modelsWorking knowledge of interface specifications, triggers and rules, including HL7, EDI, FTP, etc.Familiar with relational databases and client-server conceptsThorough understanding of relevant technology, tools and methodsCertified in following core technical areas in EPIC platform - Cogito Tools Administration, Caboodle Development for Clarity Data, Caboodle Development for Non-Epic Data.
