What types of projects or assignments can an Environmental Science Trainee expect to work on during their first year?

As an Environmental Science Trainee, you can expect to be involved in a variety of hands-on projects, such as conducting field sampling, assisting with laboratory analyses, and supporting environmental impact assessments. Trainees often work closely with experienced scientists on tasks like data collection, site inspections, and preparing reports for regulatory compliance. Collaborative work is common, as you may join interdisciplinary teams that include engineers, policy analysts, and other specialists.
