Starting Rate: $43,384.80-$61,644.98

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Inthis role you will:
  • Oversee all agency budget preparation and submittals for OBM. Work with OBM staff to compile revenue projections, program narratives, and expense compilation.
  • Prepare all ordinances, ordinance request forms, fiscal review forms, and document modifications.
  • Oversee the payment of invoices as well the purchase of equipment, office supplies and materials.
  • Prepare reports and/or specialized financial and policy analyses as required by the OBM Director and/or the imbedded agency.

Required Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have a bachelor'sdegree with coursework in public administration, finance, economics, orbusiness administration, though accounting or legal studies may also beconsidered, along with at least two years of experience in budgeting, financialanalysis, and reporting, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience. They will have the ability to support grant-writing activitiesalongside the City's Grant Administrator and familiarity with financialsoftware. Knowledge of the City of Springfield's financial structure, policies,and procedures is preferred.
Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
To be eligible to apply, current City employees must have completed their probationary period and attained certified status in their current position.
