Job description

The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Brandeis University seeks instructors to teach a four credit course in Strategy and Innovation in AY 26/27. These courses are part of the graduate curriculum (MBA and specialized master's programs) and may include topics such as:
  • Competition and Strategy (core strategy course)
  • Alliances and Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy
  • Innovation Strategy
  • Technology Management
  • Platform Strategy and Digital Ecosystems
  • Corporate Strategy and Growth

Courses are designed to provide students with rigorous frameworks and practical tools to analyze competitive environments, formulate strategy, and understand how firms create and sustain competitive advantage in dynamic markets. All courses are taught using case-based and/or experiential learning methods (including case discussions, simulations, and applied projects), and emphasize active student participation. Course assignments and scheduling will depend on program needs and instructor expertise.
Candidates should have a minimum qualification of a Master's degree (PhD preferred) in strategy, management, economics, sociology, or a related field, along with relevant professional and/or teaching experience. We particularly welcome applicants with industry experience in consulting, technology, innovation management, corporate strategy, entrepreneurship, or related fields. Experience in teaching using case-based or experiential methodologies is strongly preferred.
Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, course syllabi, a brief teaching statement, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is April 15, 2026.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
Compensation for this position is $10,000/four-credit course.
