Work You'll Do

As a Project Consultant you will:

  • Engage with functional stakeholders to understand business questions, analytical needs, and decision making priorities by interpreting and synthesizing analytical findings into clear narratives, insights, and recommendations for non technical audiences.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clearly defined analytical problem statements, metrics, and data requirements. 
  • Work with various analytical tool and dashboard owners throughout the Department to understand varying data requirements, utilizing those insights to build requirements for a uniform supply chain risk database.
  • Navigate and query relational databases, with an emphasis on analytics environments within Advana / Databricks. 
  • Use SQL and Python (e.g., pandas, SQLAlchemy) to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data across multiple datasets. 
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Qlik Sense / QlikView (or comparable BI tools) to deliver actionable insights (define KPIs, dashboard layouts, and data refresh schedules aligned to mission and stakeholder priorities)

  • Experience in Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)
  • Experience building or supporting dashboards/metrics for operational or executive audiences.
  • Experience managing and analyzing datasets within the DoD Advana platform (Databricks / Qlik)
  • Experience with requirements management or project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally
  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD concepts, and basic data QA techniques
  • Experience with data modeling concepts (e.g., star and snowflake schemas, normalization)
  • Experience supporting defense, acquisition, logistics, or national security stakeholders in an analytical or advisory capacity
