Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain Data Analyst to support critical supply chain, logistics, operations and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to inform supply chain solutions, increase efficiencies, mitigate risk, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage to support supply chain and logistics business initiatives.

  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis on data to generate insights to identify supply/demand forecasts, inventory requirements, readiness degraders, and other key supply chain metrics.

  • Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with business managers

  • Evaluating, visualizing, and performing analysis on data sets

  • Working with existing modeling and simulation (M&S) tools to develop data for new AI/ML models

  • Recommends operational plans and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results 

  • Responsible for improving existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical fields such as operations research, math, engineering, data analytics
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, industrial base analysis or acquisition support.
  • 8+ years of experience in using analytic tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau to perform data exploration and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience using modeling and simulation tools for supply chain and logistics forecasting tools.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).
  • Proven ability to utilize extensive analysis to seek understanding problems.
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
