Your Impact:

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct analyses across various datasets and communicating insights and impact in context with intent on a recurring basis. Perform rigorous quantitative analysis across relevant systems (e.g. FlexPLM, Oracle, GTNexus, o9, etc.), existing dashboards (e.g. Tableau, Dodeca, etc.), and manual sources (i.e. spreadsheets). Regularly share insights on progress/outcomes, potential scenarios, and trends in strategic indicators to Supply Chain leadership and review with subject matter experts to ensure appropriate context.
  • Enable Global Supply Chain organization to become more data driven by developing automated data accessibility and effective reporting. Develop new dashboards that empower business stakeholders with self-service analytics. Maintain and evolve existing reporting to be readily accessible and better fit for purpose. Create new data sources to unlock new functionality or visibility.
  • Perform and present ad-hoc analyses to ensure effective execution of strategy, highlighting key takeaways to business stakeholders. Act as translator between lab coats and business suits - communicating in a way to make insights approachable and technical details meaningful. Support Supply Chain Excellence leadership in creating presentations for executive stakeholder reviews. Spearhead definition of meaningful metrics, balancing subtleties, and standardization, by driving consensus with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with leadership and operational colleagues across Global Supply Chain to define strategic KPIs, develop implementation roadmaps in collaboration with IT partners, and socialize results with broader Deckers organization. Drive progress of Supply Chain Think Tank initiative - a cross-functional partnership between Global Supply Chain and Enterprise Analytics teams to develop automated reports.

SALARY: $95,493 - $139,900/year

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Who You Are:

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain Management or related field of study

Employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Data Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain Management or related field of study and 1 year of experience in an Analytics role in lieu of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3 years of experience.

Work Experience:

3 years of experience in an Analytics role

Skills/Competencies:

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following

1) Python and SQL.
2) developing dashboards using visualization software (Tableau and PowerBI).
3) collaborating with data engineering teams and translating business needs into data requirements.
4) analyzing large amounts of data (datasets ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of records, multiple tables, or data sourced from different systems) and using quantitative analytical methods (such as descriptive and diagnostic analysis, trend and variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression, etc.) to translate results into actionable insights for a business audience.
5) preparing written communications to audiences of varying technical ability and managerial level.
