Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) team is the primary driver of new business opportunities at Dynamic Logistix. Through outbound lead generation, each BDR plays a critical role in the lead-to-pipeline process which fuels the growth at Dynamic Logistix. The primary focus of a BDR is to schedule discovery meetings with qualified prospects.

An effective BDR will understand the companyโ€™s vision, goals, and strategy. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the freight market. As a part of the sales development team, you will leverage messaging and collateral, conduct research, and perform outreach activities to nurture and qualify leads that will convert into opportunities, and ultimately new customers. BDRs should be comfortable communicating across a variety of channels including email, phone, and social media.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Continuously prospects new opportunities to develop a diverse client portfolio through high volume outbound calls and occasional onsite visits
  • Continuously achieves BDR metrics and KPIs
  • Learns, grows, and adapts to a changing industry
  • Thinks on the fly, multitasks, and effectively communicates
  • Builds dynamic, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Is willing to call and talk to anyone to capture opportunities in a booming freight market
  • Utilizes concepts around Dynamic Logistix and its features, benefits, and competitive edge to communicate, present and negotiate services
  • Researches and understands the target market and target contacts that will be the focus of the sales effort
  • Designs, manages, and navigates a comprehensive, logical daily and weekly sales plan
  • Builds long-term relationships with clients so that we explore other avenues or partners of our clients that could lead to additional business
  • Effectively organizes and communicates with sales pipeline management, group sales discussions, and communication as needed with all teams that will be involved in sales process
  • Utilizes CRM tool to stay organized, sell from, and update your clients and pipeline from

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred. Relevant majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations
  • 2+ years of sales experience in the 3PL or Transportation industry preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs at a time
