This full-time remote role allows you to provide impactful care from the comfort of your own home while ensuring our clients receive the personalized attention and professional support they deserve. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting in-depth preliminary interviews and documenting case histories from the initial consultation through to successful outcomes.
  • Evaluating clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to design tailored treatment plans.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies aimed at fostering recovery for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, understanding, and progress.
  • Regularly monitoring and assessing client progress throughout the treatment plan to ensure efficacy and adaptability.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other mental health specialists to create cohesive intervention plans.
  • Managing follow-up communications with psychiatrists and hospital staff regarding clients who may require hospitalization.
  • Identifying potential obstacles to recovery and proactively suggesting preventive measures.
  • Providing education and support to family members and primary caregivers to help them manage mental health challenges effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will engage with a diverse array of clients who are grappling with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. By understanding the unique circumstances of each individual or family you work with, you will have the opportunity to create impactful, personalized care plans that address complex needs, support resilience, and encourage personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Previous experience working as a mental health counselor within a clinical or community health setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mental health issues, including co-occurring physical health conditions and substance use disorders.
  • Awareness of industry best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to facilitate clear and compassionate interaction with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, families, or individuals with severe mental health conditions.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and their application in therapeutic settings.
  • Experience with group therapy dynamics and techniques.
