Job Description

The EO Sterilization Project Manager is responsible for coordinating sterilization and validation projects, ensuring timely execution of operations, managing client relationships, and aligning cross-functional teams to meet regulatory and operational deliverables.

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Proven flexibility and adaptability while managing multiple sterilization and validation projects simultaneously
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Experience coordinating schedules and resolving operational conflicts
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure audit-ready documentation in regulated environments
  • Prior project management or client service experience in a scientific or regulated industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, etc.) and ERP systems such as Oracle; experience with LIMS is a plus
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, or sterilization validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ preferred)
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive, customer-focused attitude

Key Responsibilities:

Project Scheduling & Execution:

  • Track sterilizer schedules, capacity utilization, and validation timelines
  • Coordinate validation and production activities to ensure on-time execution
  • Collaborate with operations to align schedules with client deliverables
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts across multiple concurrent projects

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary client liaison for sterilization projects
  • Maintain detailed communication logs and provide weekly status updates
  • Communicate project timelines, risks, and opportunities clearly to clients
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal departments and external stakeholders

Documentation & Compliance Coordination:

  • Coordinate QA documentation for sterilization and validation activities
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation flow between QA, operations, and clients
  • Support compliance with GMP, internal quality systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain audit-ready project documentation

Training & Administrative Oversight:

  • Ensure completion of required training programs (e.g., ELC, Oracle) within deadlines
  • Coordinate pricing and validation quotes with internal teams
  • Maintain availability aligned with client and operational demands

Support continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and compliance

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of project management, coordination, or customer service experience in a scientific or regulated field
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EO sterilization, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of sterilization validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Experience in client-facing roles or account management
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Familiarity with Oracle, ERP systems, or LIMS platforms

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Diego, CA are encouraged to apply.

Pay range is $25/h - $30/h depending on related experience.

This role may require occasional schedule flexibility to align with sterilization cycles and client needs. The position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, customer satisfaction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
