Pay Range: 88K-110K Base

Sun Chemical is seeking a project manager for Amazon who will provide package design direction, preproduction technical guidance across all print methods, brand packaging strategies, overseeing schedules and approvals and interfacing with our internal Graphics Coordinator and CSR to provide artwork mechanicals and print plates which deliver within Amazon timelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Attend team meetings with Amazon and their converting partners to drive high end projects and strategic initiatives to their completion.
  • Responsible for overseeing and providing artwork guidance for development of packaging.
  • Provide technical guidance for initial packaging designs to designers and business stakeholders. Communicate differences between design and production execution to set expectations.
  • Work with designers, brand, operations and procurement to meet their individual graphics and structural requirements and provide synchronization of deliverables.
  • Initiate pre-production conference calls, create agenda, provide files and track tasks/deliverables to the business.
  • Work with our Amazon Account Manager, Graphics Coordinator and CSR to initiate new projects.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ Years of experience in graphic package design.
  • Strong project management and communication skills with ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Able to communicate differences between design and production execution to designers and stakeholders.
  • Experience creating brand packaging strategies and the understanding of different print processes.
  • Strong skill level in design software, e.g. Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
  • Knowledge and experience with ink, print processes and various substrates such as folding cartons, corrugated, flexible packaging and prototyping.
