Job Description:
Electronics has openings for Gas and Chemical Project Technicians for its team in Santa Clara, CA. The individual will be responsible for supporting and leading the technical demands of the site's gas or chemical equipment. They will ensure compliance with operation and maintenance procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.
A subject matter expert for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment, providing technical support and problem resolution. The individuals will be a part of the onsite Project and equipment team and will support the gas and chemical operations in 11 buildings throughout Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. The Technician will support and lead the technical challenges for over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment of various types and vendors.
You will ensure compliance when writing, editing, and executing operating and maintenance procedures and drive a ZERO safety or quality incident culture. A subject matter expert for gas, chemical, or slurry equipment, providing technical support and problem resolution.
The individual will also be involved in project and sustaining operations, Basic Safety Processes, quality management, preventative maintenance, and training. They will support installing, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing all Electronics Gas Systems, Applied Energy Systems gas systems, Fuji liquid delivery systems, Air Liquide Gas, and Chemical systems. The individual must be capable of performing cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment.
Must demonstrate quality and comprehensive knowledge of gas or chemical applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response.
Inexperienced and experienced will undergo comprehensive OJT and technical training and qualification programs. 5 levels of technicians offer a fast-paced promotion track. This is a career opportunity in a growing industry.

This contract engagement offers on-the-job training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role and be considered for conversion to permanent, as determined by supervisors and business needs.
Technicians work on systems and maintain the supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen TV's
Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment
Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
Support of quality systems
Physical Attributes:
Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)
In some cases, Technicians must wear a Site Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes
Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Workers will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear
