Duration: 12 Months

1. Expert Level SQL Server DBA exp in installations and administration of SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 on Windows 2012/2008/2003 (PROD, DEV, QA, UAT Env)
2. SSIS - Monitoring and troubleshooting jobs in production
3. SQL Server High Availability and DR Recovery efforts
4. Migrating Servers
Enterprise Level experience
We are looking for a Senior Level SQL DBA to work on a long term contract. The DBA should have a heavy/expert level background with SQL Server 2005 and experience with 2008/2012 version doing performance tuning and administration. Experience with SSIS is required as well. A MCDBA or MS SQL Cert would be a plus but is not mandatory.
The DBA should have heavy/expert level Windows clustering experience. The client uses an in house tool but also uses SSRS for Reporting. The candidate should have some SQL development with stored procedures, triggers, table creations but it does not have to be heavy experience. The manager prefers candidates with a breadth of knowledge from various environments. Needs to have a BS degree.
This is to offset some workload as they implement the Oracle e-Business R12 suite Financial package (general ledger, order mgmt., A/P) with Hyperion, BI, GRC Controls, GRC Manager, OBIEE. The reason for the need is due to the over flow of work during this project, they need someone to cover the SQL administration while the main DBA's are on the project. For someone to jump right in, the candidate will need to have managed large Database Environments at the Enterprise level.
To fit into the culture of the team, the candidate should be aggressive to get the job done and be proactive where needed as well as roll up their sleeves to do anything including documentation.
Day to day:
Provide database administration support for all phases of the systems development life cycle. Perform routine database activities: database design, maintenance, optimization, backup/restore, disaster recovery, capacity planning, security, cost analysis, system integration, strategic projection and turnover procedures. Resolve complex problems, perform trend analysis and create tools to prevent problems related to hardware, software and network functions. Work closely with database use
