Purchasing Coordinator

Manager of Purchasing


Job Summary

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented individual with a passion for the food service industry to join our procurement team. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will learn the fundamentals of supply chain and procurement while helping our company source quality goods at competitive prices. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to develop skills in vendor communication, inventory tracking, and data analysis. This role is best suited for someone that is fluent in Mandarin and English, however this is not a requirement. If you like working with numbers, possess strong communication skills, and want to learn how a supply chain operates, we want to hear from you!


Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Tracking: Learn and execute daily inventory management tasks to help maintain optimal stock levels and improve turnover ratios.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate daily with internal teams, including logistics, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Support Sourcing: Assist in gathering pricing quotes to help secure competitive vendor contracts.
  • Vendor Coordination: Maintain positive, professional daily communication with current suppliers while upholding our company's ethical standards and code of conduct.
  • Team Assistance: Support the Purchasing Manager with administrative tasks, data entry, and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong foundational math and analytical skills to help evaluate supplier options based on price, quality, and delivery timing.
  • Eagerness to Learn: Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, ask proactive questions, and absorb training on supply chain processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional email and phone correspondence with vendors and internal teams.
  • Tech Savvy: Foundational proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Industry Interest: A genuine interest or background in the food service supply chain is a plus but not required.


Education
