Job description

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a globally recognized automotive manufacturing leader located in West Point, GA, to identify emerging data analytics talent for their Quality division. This organization is renowned for its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and producing award-winning vehicles. This 6-month contract opportunity offers a unique chance to gain hands-on, enterprise-level experience and make a direct impact on executive decision-making within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Summary

This entry-level position is ideal for a junior professional or recent graduate with an "internship mindset" who has foundational Power BI knowledge and is eager to develop their skills further. Reporting directly to the VP of Quality, the successful candidate will operate similarly to a project coordinator—collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, building the dashboard from scratch, and ultimately training internal teams on how to utilize the new tool.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build a centralized, single-use Power BI dashboard from scratch to serve as an executive summary tool.

  • Import and compile clean, structured data from existing Excel spreadsheets—including files with over 2 million rows—into the new Power BI environment.

  • Collaborate with the VP of Quality and cross-functional leadership to understand their reporting needs and preferred visual layouts.

  • Partner with team members currently performing manual data compilation to translate their existing processes into an automated dashboard solution.

  • Track and visualize monthly milestones specifically focused on 3-month, 12-month, and 36-month dealer warranty data.

  • Develop user guides and provide end-user training upon project completion to ensure smooth adoption of the new dashboard across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or recent graduate in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Years of experience: 0-2 years of professional experience; internship experience or junior-level project work is highly welcomed.

  • Technical skills: Foundational knowledge of Power BI (must have built at least one dashboard previously, regardless of size or complexity); strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for handling large datasets (up to 2 million+ rows).

  • Industry experience: Interest or previous exposure to manufacturing, quality assurance, or the automotive industry is preferred but not required.

  • Travel/Location requirements: Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week at the West Point, GA facility (no remote work or travel required outside of the daily commute).
