Description

The Technical Operations / Data Center team is seeking a Junior System Administrator to support day-to-day operations across multiple data center locations. This role has a strong emphasis on hands-on data center work, server support, and multi-site coverage.

Due to recent team changes and increased workload, this position is a high-priority hire and requires someone who can quickly contribute with minimal ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform data center operations support, including:

- Rack & stack of servers and equipment

- Running and managing cabling (fiber and copper)

- Re-cabling and hardware installs across racks

- Support Windows Server environments (2016–2022)

- Assist with patching and system maintenance (ServiceNow-driven processes)

- Troubleshoot and resolve server and infrastructure issues

- Support network hardware (switches) and connectivity needs

- Travel to remote hospital locations (e.g., Pardee, Appalachian) as needed to support infrastructure when local staff is unavailable

- Operate as a flexible “floating resource”, assisting across sites based on business needs

Schedule

Day Shift (Updated Requirement) - Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Flexibility required:

- May adjust schedule based on after-hours work or travel needs

- Occasional extended hours depending on data center activities
