JB Harris Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry Level Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for data entry, auditing of freight bills and other administrative tasks to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions, invoices, and other accounting-related data into the system.
Reconciliation and Auditing: Reconcile and audit weekly freight bills.
Administrative Support: Assist with filing, document preparation, and other clerical duties as assigned.
Communication: Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers regarding payment discrepancies and account updates.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and correspondence.
Other Duties: Support the Accounting team with additional tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Accounting is a plus.
Experience: 1-3 years of administrative or accounting-related experience preferred.
Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
o Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus.
o Strong organizational and time-management skills.
